West Coast to Corinna

The Great Divide
The surroundings were rather damp as Peter hugged the platform to retrieve the cache. Signed the log, dropped the cache returning it to hidey hole, found it again and replaced
Lord Nelson
Looked although GPS had trouble, but even with the hint we couldn’t locate it.  The falls were good though with lots of water flowing.
QUEENSTOWN'S 99 Bends
An easy find at our lunch spot overlooking the town.
Fatman South
Found by Sue as we waited for the barge. GPS was jumping about a bit before eventually settling.
Fatman North
An easy but well-hidden cache.
Whyte River 1
Sue said that log looks slippery but Peter ventured over safely.
Whyte River 2
Had a quick look but as there were several recent DNF we didn’t look for long.
Whyte River 3
Sue spotted the likely spot and had the cache in hand quickly. The log was pretty damp and we plugged the gap so as to not replace the cache too far for the next cacher to reach.
Corinna has Caches
It didn’t take long for Sue to find this at what seemed to be the mostly likely place.
Savage River
An easy find made by Sue before Peter even got close.
Mt Donaldson Rainforest meets Eucalypt
Took a bit of hunting until Sue spotted a geocaching friendly hiding place within a large log.
Thanks Angus88
The spot suggested by the hint came into view resulting in a quick find

Pieman River from Mount Donaldson

Mt Donaldson Ocean View
The walk to the summit was quite pleasant and the contouring of the track appreciated.  Luckily the weather was nice and the odd very light shower passed either side of the top whilst we had lunch in the sun.  On the way a Ground Parrot erupted from the buttongrass and flew low to another area a short distance away.
There was only one entry in the log so we were second to find, however the internet had a record of a find on 1 April 2015 that was very dubious.  This person had also made internet log entries for several other caches in the area, but there were no actual written log entries in the caches.  We will report our suspicions for investigation.
On returning home it was noted that donuts4711 had logged 2202 caches on 1 April 2015 and we have now reported this.
Savage River Peaceful Parking
Looked too high before finding near the big thing we had been looking at.  The weed Erica was also noticeable and we felt the company running the place should have got rid of them.
Tyred at Crabby
Top View and Tower
A quick look.
HONOURABLE GRAVEL PIT
An easy find at last.
LUINA WAS
Spotted fairly quickly. It was strange seeing the old bitumen streets of a former town.
Bridge on Whyte River
Easy one
FATIGUE CAN BE
Whyte Hill Lookout
About to give up when Sue spotted it and banged her head.
Leg Stretch
It was a bit drizzly and we saw the turnoff too late and didn’t feel like turning around.
Waratah Cemetery
Peter found after a bit of a search.  We have seen ones like this before and suddenly thought is this another of them, and it was indeed.
Too much information
GPS took us to the gate but a quick turnaround had us at the cache.
To Liffey or not to Liffey...that is the question?
An easy find with a large slug protecting the cache. We had a laugh when the clue suddenly twigged, a different st……ed to what we were thinking.
Projection Bluff
Spotted by Sue, she likes these. Log very wet.
Great Western Tiers
We had to wait for a car load of muggles to drive away so had a little extra time in the very fresh cold air.
On the Way to the
1210
Didn’t seem an easy parking spot so kept going.
THE GREAT WALL
This was our lunch stop overlooking the dam wall with the water level well down. Nice little stroll to the cache. Easy find.
