Sunday , 10 June 2018 With such a nice day expected we made plans to visit Echo Sugarloaf.  As it is only a short walk  we had plenty of time to stop for a coffee at Cygnet and could include a few geocaches in the day. Echo Sugarloaf from Randalls Bay Eucalypts with track below BANJO's Beach Spotted after a short search, whilst on the way to Echo Sugarloaf.   Came here a few times when our kids were little Caching is not Dead Thought this might be like other Old Saint ones and it was, which helped us find it. Cradoc Park Sue spotted it and we also noted the holly, and vinca which can be nuisance weeds in some locations Echo Sugarloaf Cache got further away as we walked along the track, but of course that changed when the track took a turn. Park and Hyde Found a pad and rock pile but no cache could be located, The Road Less Cached (A) When we realised where this was we didn’t bother as stopping would have beena difficult the direction we wer

Rivulet Stroll

Friday , 26 January 2018 The day wasn’t too warm making it pleasant to walk up the Hobart Rivulet track, but of the 4 caches passed we only scored 50%. Bubbling Brook Went on wrong side of the rivulet at first. Hobart Rivulet Park 2 Spent as longas prepared to allot (which isn't all that long). The Grotto GPS gave conflicting readings, so gave up after a short search. A Leafy Experience Managed to locate quickly.

Along the coastal track

Saturday , 9 September 2017 We did this walk in 2013 when there were a lot of caches along the track, but most are now archived.  After so many days of wet, snowy and cold weather it was nice to get outdoors in pleasant conditions. For the caches along here today. Ramble Round Roscommon Enjoyed the walk to find our cache no. 1500. watch the world sail Easily spotted from the right angle. Frederick Henry Bay Views Nice dry spot and good views.

South Arm Convict Trail

Thursday , 3 August 2017 A walk on the mountain had been planned but the calm day and likelihood of getting lots of sunshine persuaded us to go along the Convict Trail at South Arm.  It took 2:10 for the walk from South arm to Opossum Bay collecting caches and 1:20 for the return leg; in all it was 9.5k for the day. South Arm Convict Trail - John Humphreys Made an error in calculation but on reaching a spot we reckoned it would be, did a recheck. South Arm Convict Trail - Eliza Hurst Quick now that were had cottoned onto the design. South Arm Convict Trail - James Cumberland Similar in design so quick to locate. South Arm Convict Trail - Edmund Musk Going well and interesting information. South Arm Convict Trail - Sarah Lambert Went back to the seat in the sun to fill in the log. South Arm Convict Trail - George Broomhead We now know what Oldsaint meant in his log comment. South Arm Convict Trail - William Johnson A cache design we are familiar w

Glebe Hill

Monday , 10 July 2017 We had the task of looking after our grandson today and decided a walk on Glebe Hill to search for the geocaches would be one of the things we would do. It was a cool day but by good luck  it came out sunny for the duration of the walk. Glebe Hill Walk 1 We lent a GPS to our grandson and he found it after suggestion. Glebe Hill Walk 2 Not hard to find and grandson was a bit quicker working out the likely spot. Glebe Hill Walk 3 Went round in a circle before honing to the right spot Glebe Hill Walk 4 Looked about to no avail.
