Sunday , 17 July 2016 It was a nice sunny and calm winter day and a good opportunity for a stroll at Waverley Flora Park.  We suddenly remembered there were some new geocaches there since our last visit, so a quick scan and a download to the GPS's and we were off. Discovered a new track whilst there as well. 12 You CAN Find this (Ver. 2.0), Waverley Walk Took a very steep climb off a lower track circling well down from the top and never met a soul during the walk until arriving at the cache site.  Two people walking with dogs suddenly appeared coming from both directions.  Again a very nifty cache design. 3 Lynched byson, Waverley Walk Didn't find at the first couple of spots but eventually got there. Xtra cache , Waverley Walk Bonus Walked on the new track before discovering we would have to go cross country 30 metres.  Whata nice design for a geocache container. Friday , 23 January 2015 It was only a couple on months ago that we walked the lower part of this circuit and since then this series of caches has gone in.  We started at Lanena Street entrance got a couple out that way then followed the numbers in order from there on. 10 Out In The Open, Waverley Walk the cache lived up to its name 11 Within The Trees, Waverley Walk We don’t know if it was because we had sunglasses on, but both looked at the site, where it was eventually found by Sue, twice each.  As a consequence it took us a while to find. 0 Entrance, Waverley Walk It was quick to locate which was just as well with the resident over the fence close. 1 Dead Tree, Waverley Walk Nifty hide and liked the ladybird 2 Old Log, Waverley Walk Another nice ladybird. 3 You CAN Find this, Waverley Walk Sue guessed what to look for here. 4 Fallen Stump, Waverley Walk Another nice ladybird and we liked the outside container. 5 Water Tank, Waverley Walk Spent too much tim...

Sunday , 16 February 2014 One of the main drivers for looking for caches today was to try again for the Bee cache at Rosny that had eluded us. A trip up through Winifred Curtis Flora Park rounded off the outing. A new park After walking down the path from the flora park it was a quick and easy. Maybe that is why Peter made the find. Dance of the Bee. This had been a struggle to locate and in fact had stopped for a search twice without success. After seeking a clue from OldSaint we returned and this time found the little blighter. Thanks heaps OldSaint, your help was enough to tip the balance. Darwin's Rock It It was a bit surprising that as soon as wee arrived at the spot several cars came in and out of the small road. Eventually things settled down and the search began, but Sue found the right spot and the type of container that she suspected it would be.

Monday , 30 December 2013 Once we only went on the track round Rosny Point for a bike ride, but on recent times it has been as a walk to find some caches. Today we went from Montagu Bay to Kangaroo Bluff which makes it close to a 10k return walk. On the drive to the start we stopped off at Cornelian Bay to finalise a cache there, so that added a further 1.5 k to the day. Lottie's Lookout #2 This had gone missing on our previous visit a year ago, but we got it quickly today. Whats the point? Sue spotted this from about 10 metres off. We approached by going down a track and along the shore and returned by going up direct to the track. Dance of the Bee. Friday, 28 June 2013 Our ambition was greater than what we could achieve on this walk. This was partly brought about by the fact that the multicache took us on a circuit of Rosny Hill that we had already just walked. Those we didn't get can wait for another day. Fire Up Bingo! Sue spotted a cache then found in fact there were two for the price of one. We did not have this one down searching and realised when checking the web site map that it did not show up due to it being hidden behind the "Black Beetle" mate at the same coords. With this one we signed the log and put it back in the hide Foreshore Track - Reflections Of … This time there were no workers about and in fact it was all fairly quiet as we walked past. Wednesday  5 September 2012 We decided to do a few caches on the eastern shore between Bellerive and Howrah. The pleasant sun and temperatures were predicted to deteriorate about midday, so a morning start was made with the finish to be a fish meal at the café at Bellerive Beach.   Victoria Esplanade The first on the list and when we got the hint in our minds correctly, it did not take Sue long to grab it.   The Russians are Coming! Up the steps and along the bank soon brought us to the cache, where it was spotted by Sue. Quite a bit of water in the moat.   The Bluff A woman busy in the garden fronting the street caused us to be a bit cautious. Sue followed the hint and a small laugh meant she had the cache.
