Thursday , 15 November 2018 Decided to walk from South Arm through to Pot Bay, one that we had done a year ago, but since that time several geocaches have been put in, so this was an added incentive. View of the Jetty Found without too much trouble on the way back as we didn't come down this way but went on the top track first and missed it. Thursday , 21 January 2016 It had been several months since we had been out for a day caching and we chose South Arm as the venue. Peter thought to view the Australian geocaching site and this added a few extras to look for. With the Australian caches, for some reason the option to download the cache data to the Garmin GPS no longer works, but even when downloading the GPX file, and copying to the GPS, it doesn’t dhow as a geocache when searching.  So the only option was to record it as a waypoint. GREAT BALLS OF ??? Stopped but when we saw the rubbish, including toilet paper, we soon lost interest. Racecourse Flats Was just too hard to open, so a photo has been added in lieu of logging. Wednesday , 14 May 2014 We parked at the northern end of Mortimer Bay and walked along the beach. It was good to see that some of the cursed invasive radiate pines have been sawn down, but what wasn’t so good was the wet dog that ignored its owner and jumped up on us. On the other hand it was fantastic to see so many Oyster catchers in the bay. It was straight forward walking along the bush lined track until reaching a small beach where it was hoped there would be a way up to a road, however a fence and wet area caused rethink. We decided to continue on to the Isthmus beach and walked a short distance beside the main road. A track off to the side was used then another short bit beside the road before the Storm View track, which started steeply uphill. It is almost 2k along that track and it was very annoying to get almost to the end and find a closed sign. That would have entailed an additional 4 k walk to backtrack and there had been no sign at the start to warn of the closure. The ...

Thursday, 10 October 2013 As we haven't been beyond Sandford for several years when three new caches were placed near Calverts Lagoon we decided it was time to head that way. There was also two close by ones and they were added to the list. Mareniko's Menagerie A fellow was in the paddock of Mareniko and had a look as we pulled and walked to the cache, then he resumed what he was doing; we assume he also knew what we were up to. Calvets Walking Track Sue managed to find this OK, but had to stretch until she realised it was an easy grab from the other side. After that we went for a walk along the track where the first bit had some nice flowers out. The part going close to the fence wasn't nearly as pleasant so we came back via the walking only track closer to the lagoon. Unfortunately Erica, the weed species, has invaded some of the area and although signs indicate horses must be kept to the track marked for them, there was evidence of horse hooves in the off limits areas...
